I have just received a message from an argentina player making joke about the brazilian soccer game. I am here to play chess and it is very umpolite this kind of things happen here in queenalice.

When you think of it, there are some parallels between the games. Football is an impatient form of chess, played with millionaires instead of pieces.
Because of all the egos involved, naming one King would only cause internal strife, so they set up goal posts instead. Then chaos ensues! All of the pieces seem to move whenever they like, so the move as in chess is symbolised by a round object. The pieces fight for the possession of this object as if it is something very important.
The pieces try to capture each other and do fall down, but are seldom removed from the board. This is then done by the "Clock", a man in black with strange powers over time.
(I've seen it on TV once: it all looked pretty scary and sweaty).
