Hello everybody, What about having the possibility of playing a chess variant like Capablanca chess, grand chess, etc. ? Sometimes there are suspicions about players using computers, with chess variants computers are far less powerful and such complaints would be purposeless.
Best regards, Nicolas.
P.S: besides I like chess but lazy about studying openings, so thanks to queenalice for the openings database

I'm just like you regarding openings and I often find them so boring to play out online. Using the database would make that twice as bad for me! I not sure I agree with your argument about players using computer assistance. With the opening database one has at least that part equal. Take that away and the player using a computer has an even bigger advantage.
It might be a nice option to have those types of games available but probably few players would play that way and the overhead for everyone else makes it less appealing.
