Just had a very odd experience. Although I was able to log onto any other web site, I was unable to get to Queen Alice starting on Friday (Nov 5). My friend dlabedz was also unable to log on. We both have major Internet providers at high speeds, and had no trouble with other sites. I emailed Miguel and he said there was no trouble over the weekend. Strange. David (dlabedz) and I each tried different browsers, too.
Today I decided to try my laptop, but that's wireless, so I had to remove the direct connection from the cable modem to my desktop, and do everything through the router. I decided I might as well try once more through the desktop, and now I'm in! Very, very strange. Meanwhile, I lost 2 games on time - first ones since I joined here, since I log in several times every day. Well, except this weekend, when I tried several dozen times to no avail. 
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Just curious.

Just curious ... what would happen when you tried to log in? It seems highly unlikely that both of you would be locked out somehow. Of course you may see many responses of others that had the same problem and then it would not be so odd.
If no one else responds, you will may have consider the possibility that it is some connection between the two of you.

David has Comcast and I have Wowway, 2 major carriers. When I tried to connect I just got the standard response you get when you type in a nonexistant URL. Queen Alice does go offline sometimes, and we thought that was the problem, but it hadn't happened for so long before.

BTW, just happened again. My router misbehaved so I plugged my system directly into the cable modem. That was fine for a few hours, and then I couldn't get into Alice again. I switched back to the router and all is fine again. Very strange. I would think it was my system or the cable company, but it's ONLY Alice that I have problems with; everything else is okay.

Could location be an issue here? Does David live close to you. No one else has responded yet although that may just mean that anyone affected has not read the post yet ... but still, it seems odd since one might expect similar posts if others had the same problem.
Certainly this last occurrence seems to indicate a hardware issue but it could have been a coincidence.

David lives about 8 miles from me. Location seems to be all we have in common with regard to Alice, but we have different Internet providers, both major players (the Internet providers, not David and me).
