How can I delete my account?

I don't think you can. It just becomes inactive. From a database perspective, if your account were deleted, so would your games be. That would then have repercussions for those you've played against.

Note the length of the Member List, and how many members on it are inactive by now.
Note the fact that no games whatsoever have been deleted.
This is a chess site, of course, of course...
...but it is also an experiment in how big a database can get! (Imagine the amount of chess games stored in another ten years!!)

It makes sense that your games would never be deleted, if only to keep them on your opponents' lists. However, there does seem to be something you can do to get your name removed from the member list. For example, there used to be a top player named Gambitshark who is no longer on the list.

He's still on the complete list, kingdave ... but only shows up if you select "Inactive members" or "All".
