Derek Jeter's 3000th hit will be front page news in the New York times. Was it front page news in your paper.

Front page of thes papers. As reported by QA members.

Front page of sports section, but not front page of paper. I will presume that if it is front page of the whole paper it will also be front page of sports section.

Without trying to subvert your poll, this link will show you the front page of any paper you care to look at. Just click on the dot you want, to see that page in full:

However, I don't see Jeter on the New York Times front page (late edition) so I guess you mean for Sunday:

Blutigeroo,

I am also wondering how many QA members care that he got 3000 hits

I happened upon my old copy of the San Diego paper for that day. No, it did not make the front page, but did get a decent amount of space in the sports section. Did I care? Not particularly. Should it be front page news in NY? Why not. It all sounds similar to what occurred here for Tony Gwynn's milestones.
