During the first moves of a game there is a "delete game" button available in "my games" page. This is a red x button in the last column of the table (action). How does it work? If I press it do I loose the game? Which are its effects?

AFAIK, you can use the button to bow out of a game (non-tournament) up until the third move. It then has no consequences for either player's rating. I have recently also seen it as a gentlemanly option for cancelling a game where my opponent had timed out already.
