How can you care so much that a game stalls? What's the difference between a 9-month game and a 12-month game, really?
You're winning for 3 months longer than usual... ? I see why that would bother you.

Notwithstanding Homedepotev's possible madness, I too hate long games. Seigneur, you make a minor case but I'd rather finish a game in a month then stare at the same board for a year. I'd even prefer to finish the game in a week if possible. Oddly enough, it doesn't really seem too much different than playing a slow player in an OTB match.

It just spoils what should be a fun experience when the other player goes into passive-aggressive mode and stalls just when he realizes that his position is hopeless. There are chess sites where you can play rated blitz and I love it.

I like to play 'e-mail' chess to impove my skills. Blitz games are funny but for me they are sensless. I only have to wait till the opponent blunders, no need and no time for thinking about a strategy.

I am frustrated by stalling for 2 reasons: 1 the 50 game rule. When a player stallls it takes longer to get my total below 50 so I can join a tournament. 2. I am only allowed to organie one tournament at a time. Stalling delays the start of the next round and or the next tournament.
