I want to do a suggestion :
-there is no honor in playing chess with the help of programs as Fritz and others;
-I play chess for fun, but there is a limit;
-and it is easy to know if someone is using a program to play, the moves without any error (that is human), "chess players" with rattings too low for the way they play, etc.
It just sucks ???

If you play to the best of you ability, you are doing great. And good for you. Furthermore, if someone uses a computer against you, you will be better off in the long run. Counter intutive I know. Just use it as a learning experience.

The right attitude, Jung Joe. When you feel the other guy is using Fritz, etc.; then it is learning over winning. Say "thank you" too to the chess software user for doing the research for you in refuting your best moves or lines of play.

The real cheats are those using more than one name,for example, Take 'Fred', who plays as Mr X and Mr Y. Because Mr X has a rating of 1850 and can't play in Auto Beg,he enters as Mr Y who he keeps at a low rating of 1200. Sweeps the board and wins the tournie. If the tournie had a monetary prize his behaviour would be called fraud. Of course, Mr.X and Mr.Y also play in the same tournies together just to give Fred more chance of winning. Send me a message and I'll give you the names of some players who are cheating.
