Dear all,

I have decided likewise on chess.com to retire from Internet chess. I thought that focusing on my over the board chess is more important to me than on the Internet.

I enjoyed all the games I had on here.

Take care everyone, good luck in your games!

Over the board chess is far more important to me than internet chess. But for 3 yaears I was not able to play over the board so I played 2500 games here. When I returned to OTB chess my rating went from 1803 t0 2012 in 10 months!

Presently I am using queenalice to practice endgames. I am Nickerson on chessclub.com There I do opening training. My next OTB match will be June 4th. I will have white. So, on ICC I am playing only white. I play 20min + 3 minutes added each move. I use openening books to guide my play. This type of training is helping me improve my openings.

Ofcourse playing over the board has advantages. But I play 20 slowgames a week and it is hard to find local players to play with.

Chris I hope you enjoy you chess wherever you play. I think I have a touch of dyslexia becuase I thought you where ChrisTthechessplayer

After 10 months and 13 days off I've decided to come back, basically because

1. I'm not playing many over the board chess games
2. I'm not playing well either

I hope this site will improve my game :-)

I can play better over the board chess looking the game on the desktop ;-) I can tuch the game with my mind and also with my hands :-) of course it's not the same that playing together with a player... :-/ but better that nothing or better that playing with a chess-computer ;-)
