Why, oh why, does this forum exist in the first place? This is a chess club, not a debating society or political discussion site. I've suggested before that the number of forums (fora) should be reduced to three, maybe four. Yes, I know I don't have to look into this forum but that's like saying a television set has an on/off switch. There are three things not to discuss before an unknown audience, politics, religion and sport. All you do is cause arguments and bad feeling. Let's stick to chess - please!

Corvidae, if you just want to stick to chess, then you can simply avoid this forum. Why do you object to it? Just ignore it.

Ignorance of what? How about apathy? Why should you care if someone else you don't care about is talking about something you don't care about? Why are you so controlling? If you're at a chess club or tournament and you hear someone making a comment that is not chess-related, do you reprimand them for it?
