many players prefer fast time controls because they want their games to finish in a month instead of the year.

I understand everything you are saying and appreciate your comments. My point is, no matter what, there is no need to be rude. I apologised for deleting games and asked if it was ok to play with different time controls. If it is not ok then politely decline, don't be rude.

True, there is no need to be rude at a game of correspondence chess. But I do not understand why someone would leave a nice chess-site like QA, just becaue one opponent made a rude remark.
