Errol Flynn's "The Adventures of Robin Hood" was my favorite for many years, although it came out many years before I was born. "Casablanca" is one of the all time greats, and it's also older than I am. I agree that "The Lord of the Rings" was very, very well done. I recommend the books to any who have not read them, though. Tolkien was a professor of ancient languages, and his great knowledge in that area added a wonderful aura of authenticity to the books. Being good friends with C. S. Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia and many other works) didn't hurt; Lewis heard the books read by Tolkien before they were published, and one would assume suggestions were made. I would love to have been there to hear the disussions between those two brilliant men.

There were so many hottest and great movies. They were THE WEST SIDE STORY, SOUND OF MUSIC, TEN COMMANMENTS, BEN HUR, DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, CASABLANCA, STAR WARS, ROCKY, AIR FORCE ONE, LORD OF THE RINGS, CLEOPATRA AND MORE. I just name a few. My favorite and I think the greatest movie of all time for me is THE GOD FATHER (Part I).
