Hello filipino friends:
At the moment we are 7:
Gand Doriam Reusking Pepato Alsina Togoychess Endher
but surely more will join as following the experience of the other matchs, it is better to give time to people to read private messagges and the forums, so I suggest to wait for another week at least...
Reading the message of RayDuque3, I have been smiling for a while because in fact I have also filipino blood! as my great grandfather, Manuel Dávila Acosta was born in Bacarra, Laoang, Ylocos North, the first of January of 1867.
His mother (my great great grandmother) Josefa Acosta Fontanilla, was born in Laoang, Ylocos North, and was a daughter of Don Mariano and of Doña Luisa, of the Barangay of Don Francisco Fontanilla. Sadly, this (and a wonderful old picture) is all we know about her as she remained in The Philippines when my great grandfother travelled to Spain and never returned after marrying my great grandmother.
I let you know when new Spanish players join our team.
And, I suggest you to train hardly as we are winning Argentina 4-1 (there remains 13 games) and we are also winning Latin America bt 2-0 (there remains 12 games)!!!!
Togoychess (Manuel, Madrid, Spain).

wow... no wonder why you are leading the team matches since you have 3 players with 2500+ rating. Anyhow, we'll try our best to make a run for your money
in one week time then...

Well, the other teams also have very strong players (strongers in fact, if I remember well) and we managed to do the pairings in such a way that all the matches had small (or even very small) differences in the ratings of the players.
We'll try to do the same in our match. If needed, we will drop some players because the interesting thing is that in all the games the difference of rating be as small as possible...and also that the average rating of each team was almost the same.
This is not a "war" but a meeting of friends...
Manuel.
