I am new to this site, and I have never seen this "archived games" feature on other sites. I am assuming that it is a place to keep games that you want to go back to or save for any reason. Which leads to my question, if that is true, how long will a finished game remain in your games list if not archived?
If my assumption is wrong, then what is the purpose of the archived games folder?

Welcome to the site,Mr Snake_Man! I think the finished games cannot be deleted, so everybody can have access to your page and games. I believe the main reason to archive the Finished games is to keep your active games page clean. If you go to someones´s else page you'll see that there is no archived games there, but a single page with all his/her ongoing and finished games. But for you, to see your own games, you have this option to put aside what is finished. You'll see that many people play from 50 to over 100 games at the same time, so it would be a bit messy to have all games in the same place. I think if you dont archive them they will stay in your games page forever! See you!

AH! I see then. That makes sense. Thanks for the answer.

Schemingmind.com has the same possibility to archived games, but it names "completed games", Chessworld.net as "Review past games, "Brainking.com under players name as "ending games" and Redhotpawn.com as "archive folders".
