My personal preference is 1.....e5!!! and then play that gambit I forget what it is called. It makes for very interesting chess.

Depends how much you know about the King's Gambit after 2. e4. The gambit I proposed, 1. f4 f5 2. e4 can be declined by 2... d6 or 2 ...e6, so it is perhaps less deadly than some books suggest!

Excuse me. I wished to tell f4 instead of f5 in my previous post. The move 1. .... e5 can finish in a not desirable position for blacks. See the sequence: 1. f4 e5 2. fxe5 Nc6 3. Nf3 d6 4. d4 dxe5 5. d5!!!
