it would be better to lose than to draw |
Not anymore. I made another correction to the formula to make sure this doesn't happen. I recomputed all the ratings again to be fair and apply the change to past games as well.

is there a prize for being the highest rated player that those who feel slighted has to leave? i mean, can't you play prospectively and see your rating go up, if you really are that good? give a break to miguel for all his efforts. by the way grumblers dismiss this site, it's a simple comparison on how they are rated elsewhere. haven't it entered your mind that perhaps your ratings are being inflated elsewhere, no matter how "official" the organization you are making reference to? and if you are claiming that there is a "mistake" in the revised rating formula, maybe it's time you guys come forward and help out than act like crybabies.
lastly, you guys miss the point: chess isn't about ratings, it's about the game itself. i wish i could say good riddance to the grumblers, but i don't own this site so i will stop short of that.

Note to the complainers; All of you and your precious points... C'monn. Get real. If you're all so obsessed with a rating, why don't you go out and get yourself a real one. Because these online ratings don't mean jacksh*t in the real world. Look beyond them and learn to appreciate the site and the efforts put into it instead. And ofcourse the game itself.
