I hope this problems ends.
For those who feel annoyed for what happened, just have a little bit of patience, because you will have a better site now, and you can use your rating to measure your strengh against others sites as well.

Hardattack123, if you're still here to read this, note that you have only finished 9 games. Part of the rating inflation has to be the incredibly fast way provisional players can move up the rating scale; naturally, provisional players would be greatly affected by any change. Plus you have to consider that those you've beaten have gone way down in their ratings, too. I went down 400 points, but I have hundreds of games finished here. If you're only here for the rating, as much fun as that is, I guess this is a major crusher. It's shattered fantasies for many of us. I hope you decide to stay; Miguel runs a great site.

Now I have nothing to boast to my high school chessmate of my 2200 Elo rating at QA. BTW, this former classmate of mine co-authored with Elo a book on Elo rating. Tsk,tsk.
