I just started a 7-days-per-move private tournament.
However, unlike GameKnot's mini-tournaments, I don't get to specify the number of players participating in the private tournament. (At GameKnot, I would usually start 5-player mini-tournaments.)
By default, how many players are there in a private tournament?
In future, could Miguel implement an option that allows players to decide how many players they want their private tournament to have?
Such a feature would definitely be useful, as one can start small tournaments if one wishes to limit the number of games one is playing simultaneously, while if one wishes to play many games, one can start a large tournament.

What do you mean? You invite who you want, so you decide how many. Invite 4 friends and you've got a 5 player tournament. What am I missing here?

When a private tourment start you (the admin of tourment) is the only participant. You must invite other members to participate. The number of players displayed at Private Tourments List are the number of current players invited not the limit of players.
All private tourments accommodate up to 20 members but can start with any number between 4 and 20.
I hope you find this helpful.

I see, Miguel and Maxsource. Thanks for the explanation.
I was just confused because the private tournaments here work differently from similar features at other sites, such as GameKnot.
On other sites, you specify several parameters, such as how many players you want in the tournament, what ratings you want them to be, etc. Any player who meets the criteria can join the tournament, and the tournament automatically starts when all the slots are full.

whitekings, then that wouldn't really be a "private" tournament, but a public tournament with certain criteria or parameters.

Unfortunately, I don't think QueenAlice supports the type of tournament that I am trying to create.
Now I need to find 4 people to invite. I'm looking for players with ratings in the 1500-2000 range, from all over the world.
