I use firefox 1.5.0.8, and often when I click on a piece in think mode I have wait before I can move it. When I click and then try to move too fast and click on the piece I want to capture the reverse happens -- the piece I want to capture ends up capturing my piece. Quite frustrating.

Do you have similar problems on other websites? Is your system generally slow?
Firefox is notorious for memory leaks. I've never encountered any problems using Opera 8.5. (Go to http://opera.com if you want to download Opera.)

I have no similar problems anywhere else. I thought that there would be others here encountering the same problem. I am surprised that I seem to be unique in this regard.

I have the same problem at work and I know what the problem is for sure: slow connection plus a computer short on disk space and resources...especially when it has the open source program "Office" application running underneath the main programs. Try "Ctrl-alt-del" once to see what is working in your computer and hit "end task" on any non necessary stuff using the machine CPU. It will improve the performance.
