Miguel,
I've just lost this game http://www.queenalice.com/game.php?id=137270 but I think my rating should have gone down via your formula
new rating = 1721 + (0.04 * 88) - 16 = 1708.52
Is there an error in the ratings calculation or have I misunderstood something?

Established Ratings
For players that have played 25 or more games the following formulas are used to compute their rating:
new rating = old rating + 0.04 * (rating difference) + 16 (for the winner)
new rating = old rating + 0.04 * (rating difference) - 16 (for the loser)
new rating = old rating + 0.04 * (rating difference) (in case of a draw)

No, because you lost against a provisional player your rating is protected.
