If you resign now, your rating will be calculated based on his present rating. If you play on, your rating will be based on his rating when the game finishes.
From now until the time the game would finish if you play on, if his rating increases, playing on would have helped your rating, if his rating decreases, resigning would be better.
Of course, you can't speculate whether his rating will increase or decrease in the future. Anyway, ratings aren't everything. I would personally play on, but do what you feel like doing.
