Is archiving a finished games' sole purpose to remove it from the My Games list to reduce clutter? Do others still see my archived games when they look at my games?

Yes, at least for now I don't plan to remove old games from the database, there is plenty of space at this time. The archived games list is for your own organization only, other members looking at your games will see all of them in a single list.

How does one find this list. I had a completed game tranferred to archive by accident and can't find it.

If you click on the plus (+) sign to the right of "Home", you will see the category "Archived Games". Clicking on that will take you where you want to go. From there you can send the game back to your full list, if you want to.
