I was pulling for Aronian, and I guess I'm still pulling for him, but after today I will have to keep an eye out for Morozevich.

Someone please tell me what's going on at the World championship. It's probably me, since I'm not a Grand Master, but what's up with the draws? I followed the games and though all of them had some fight left when they settled for a draw. What do you think?

Although I agree that some games were drawn way too quickly, in exemple Kramnik vs Svidled as there was still a drop of venom in that position courtesy of the GMs who analyzed this one in Chessbase, it's understandable that perhaps the players wanted to cool off a bit for that very first round. The tournament still young, so maybe we'll be treated with some nice games in the following days?

For those who don't know, Kramnik beat Morozivich and Anand won as well. the other 2 games were draws. http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=4114
I think that Kramnik will continue to be the World Champion.
