I got a question from Pascal (pacou93) if the tournament is not going to take too long?
A.First of all, I made a calculation mistake. 5 rounds are only the tournament of more then 16 players. As we play now in two groups of 12, the first fase will be only 4 rounds.
B.The second fase with 8 teams will take 3 rounds.
The total will be a tournament over 7 rounds.
C.The second fase will start as soon as ascertained which teams will end by the best four in both groups.
All games not finished yet, will continue normally, and scores will be added to the teams.
As far as I can see, the tournament should finish in about one year.

it ie corr. chess we are playing, how long it takes depends a lot on the competitors. if most players wait to make their move untill the last day then we are in for some years. by starting as soos as teams are certain for the next round is a good anticipation trying to avoid that Leo , well done

It will take some time yes. It didn't start yet for my group...

Obviously it will be very long but on the other hand it is a championship between national teams so it is as well to award the winner each year 
|
