But did you get the picture Gil?

Gary Kasparovis a kind of person that Lenin called "political prostitute". Do you know, Kasparov,s political greed is very flexible. First (in 1984) he becomes a member of the comunist party, then in 1990 he joined the "Democratic Choise of Russia". So far, so good, as before there was only the comunist party. But quickly he jumped tothe "Congres of Russian Commons". His political career was a disaster, so he left the polital scene and went into business. Unsuccesfully as well.
Meanwhile, as a born rebel, together with Nigel Short, he started in 1993 the "Professional Chess Association" that caused a 13 years split in the Chess World Championship, as well in the complete Chessworld.
And now he came back into politics. Why?
I can tell you why I call him a clown and a charlatan.

There are many oppositionists in Russia. They publicly criticize Kremlin, but no one has been jailed. Why not? Because they do their criticism within the law.
Kasparov,s arrest is a "PLANNED" provocation. For example, Nemtsov is an oppositionist too. A week ago, he sharply, and abruptly criticized Putin on russian TV. Is he jailed? No. Did he visited protest marches? Yes he did. So, why Kasparov has been jailed and sentenced for 5 days prison, and Nemtsov not.
Well, there was no need to break police lines, right?
Solution is simple, Kasparov wanted to be a "Victim of Putin"
It,s just a cheap Public Relations trick. (whatever the mass-media says)

Sorry Gambitshark, I realise this topic was about somebody else.
I wish Bobby Fisher a good and quick recovery, and still a long and healthy life...

Ha. Hahahahahahaha. Haha. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Ha. Ha. Yeah, none jailed at all. Perfectly free and fair democratic country.

Yes. A law that says that you need the state's permission to protest. So you can only protest about things that the government permits you to protest about. Great. Want to protest that the Americans are bad and evil? Go ahead. Want to protest that Putin is bad and evil? Say hello to our fine riot police.

Leo, most population of the Russia changed of party after the end of the SSR. Nowadays, I believe it has only ones few communist in the Russia. what always was clear in Kasparov's policy career was his interest in SSR's End and the freedom of his country, Azerbaijan.
