mad_knight: the fact that the google ads are slow indicates that the problem you have is not specific with this site.
I'm investigating the access problems the others are reporting, so far I haven't found anything I can use to report this to my provider, but I'm logging access times for a few days to see if I can come up with useful information.

If 70 seconds is a problem when you play correspondence chess... Do you really mean that your brain is faster than that?

Thank you for your very nice letter.
I am currently playing a number of games each at 3 days per move. This does not mean that it would be acceptable for each of those boards to take 72 hours to load when I am ready to analyse it.

Sometimes it happens to me but not all the time. There is a time that it is fast.

isn't it then fair to say then that when the QA data are slow to be downloaded it indicates that at least part of the problem is specific for this site?
the last few days I've had long delays waiting for QA data at every screen change, while the google data appeared at normal speed. there were between 50 and 80 people online then. right now there's only 27 people online and there's no problem. would that be a coincidence?!
