That scoring system seems pretty simple to me, even simpler than my fractional system.

Of course the player who was stalemated would get 1 point.

I just thought of a better scoring system in which a draw would not be a half win (or loss.)

Win=1
Draw=0
Loss=-1
Stalemate:1/2 to the stalemater and -1/2 to the stalemated.

In order to avoid fractions, it could be the following:

Win: 2
Stalemater score:1
Draw:0
Stalemated score:-1
Loss:-2

Using the above scoring system, stalemate would be counted as a half-win.

Yes, chess has evolved throughout its history and rules have been changed and adopted for good reasons. They weren't just decisions pulled out of a hat.

You're simply ignoring this.

Next, you'll be arguing that resignation is a different kind of loss and should be re-evaluated %-)
