Ok, I think I know what you mean. I agree with you, IE6 has a cleaner rendering of the pages, Firefox appears to display the page as it is being downloaded so it needs to update the layout as more content becomes available.
I have a fast PC so I learned to ignore this.

I hope to have a very fast PC soon - an Athlon X2 4800+!
Usually, I build my own PC's but plan to get one from Velocity Micro this time around - not as familiar with the AMD Athlon X2 other than its ability to out perform Intel's current dual cores in most benchmarks.

Not likely. Because of what I said earlier.

Thanks to alternative browsers, your choices are actually increased. But you're right about not taking one website's word for it. Just Google, to find the evidence you need concerning IE and its general security, standards and functionality problems.

While you Google, I'll Copernic, and others might MSN. It is nice having a choice!
I use IE without problem. You certainly may use whatever makes your Internet surfing life happy.

And safer. Yes, I do this not only for my benefit but for others' too. IE leaves the Web less safe for everyone. Those who use alternatives help to change this. But we're grossly outnumbered
