Topic: How to claim a draw in an indisputably drawn position?

Corollary to my post in another forum on whether there is a method for adjudicating games, I am curious as to how one claims a draw, in the following situations, if one's opponent is not amenable to a draw:
1. Clear theoretical draw: e.g., King and Knight versus King, with no pawns.
2. Draw under the rules of chess, such as the 50-move rule and the three-time repetition of the position rule.
On OTB servers like the Internet Chess Club site, the server automatically declares a draw in situation (1) and grants a draw in situation (2) if properly claimed by one of the players. How are such situations handled on this site?

I haven't had the opportunity to try with either issue but from other posts here it is my understanding that you would make a draw offer with your move and the system will check if those types of draws have been met. If so, it will grant it.

I don't think the automatic draw is built in yet. If you have a definite draw (like your #1), tell Manuel, and he'll take care of it. One of the very few drawbacks of this otherwise great site.

And if he's not available, ask for Polly.

And give Polly a cracker. She will appreciate it to the point of prioritising your request among many.

Don't confuse offer with claim or you will never get ahead in life.
