Right, I noticed the stats... I'm thinking he has evolved as a professional chess player, just massively hacked out his opening variations and now wins a ton...

That page was noted before (the first one). It doesn't tell much.
I looked in more detail and noticed that the average winning opponent rating was 2220.
The average losing opponent was only 1778. Bergman did respond to moves unusually quick (1.8 hour/move).

It's hard to make any judgments without looking at the games more carefully.
Also, there are many more players on that site (a million plus registered).

It would be interesting to see what B's record has been since starting his bum of the month tour (i.e. the mass challenges open only to lower ranked players). These games obviously skew his won/loss record. Maybe one of you stalkers can dig this up for us ... .
