Hello! I also was surprised with a draw request made by Bergman, as already played over 50 and lost all, I accepted immediately and the tie more impressive was that he spoke I was using a chess engine!
My game: I played Black One. g3 c5 2. Bg2 d5 3. c4 d4 4. d3 Nf6 5. Nf3 Nc6 6. The O-e5 7. QA4 BD7 8. Bg5 Be7 9. Nbd2 The O-10. a3 Ke8 11. A5 Rfb1 12. Rf1 QC7 13. Ne1 NG4 14. Bxe7 Nxe7 15. Qc2 f5 16. Nef3 h6 17. NH4 g5 1/2-1/2

Hello! I have few ideas about this so called Bergman enigma. Bergman is either a: 1) Fully fleged chess player, who practices of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and studies every aspect of chess to the highest degree. 2) Engine in the early stages of its development. If he is an engine, that would be a good reason why he move almost straight after you have made your move. 3) Network of chess masterminds. If he were an engine then like Clivethebeard said, his early contests with the great Gambitshark (in my opinion) would not made sense. Hope i could help...........Chessaroo

Sorry about my last post, my little boy punched it in after my putting that proposal to him. However on a serious note, pehaps Bergman is Manuel in the form of his ultra ego. Then anything is possible!
