Just how unlucky can you get? For example, take two Challenge games played by KARPOVBR against BOBWINNER on Dec 18 2007 and Nov 29, the same year. He didn't want to talk to me about them, but being the curious type, I told him I would ask what others' views are on the subject of luck.

I couldn't resist and looked into it. There are two identical games in which BOB checkmates KARPOV in 5 moves. There is actually another game against a different opponent that started on Nov 29 in which KARPOV loses in the same way. Joker, do you want to reveal your hidden agenda now?

Thank you, King Dave. I didn't include the other name you hinted at because once you start checking it goes on and on. Suffice to say, I want to make it clear to any opponent of mine that I don't take anything at face value, (except Father Christmas - who I know IS real). I am currently looking at another 'gang' so, watch this space!
