No need kingdave, although you can send me an invite if you want to see it for yourself. You can even create a board situation that allows for interesting examples.
I set up several situations in my active games and left each browser window open over the last couple of days waiting for the opportunity to repeat the move. I finally got the chance just now with a game I have with maurice91 (http://www.queenalice.com/game.php?id=957053). The second move out with my knight was done by refreshing the previous knight move. It was certainly odd to see the board change by more than one move!
This one was in Firefox so I'm keeping one other game I have in IE although that player may take longer to move.
Yes, good catch seigneur. In my test I used identical moves with the same piece but it's pretty certain that the piece does not matter ... only the From and To coordinates are sent. I'm surprised to see the move data retained after the first move is made but from what whybish and seigneur have stated, this is a basic browser feature (by design).
Well, I learned something about the Refresh button. It is not the same as a refresh link so I take that back! kingdave, you inadvertently created a rare situation which probably does not need to be reported but at least we know about it now for the next time(???).

Blutigeroo, I checked out your game. Your opponent must have been very puzzled. Shall this be called the Canadian Opening from now on? As to confirming the diagnosis, I think your experiment is sufficient. Since we are already on the forum used for reporting bugs, I'd say our work is done.

Just a quick tip: unless you're trying to connect to some place or searching for something on a search engine, you should almost never send data again. There's always a better way to do it (do it all over again for example) and thus you ensure of the information that you try to send.
This could also happen if you try to buy something online. You could buy it, and let's say it freezes, you could be willing to hit the refresh button and resend the data. Little did you know, you just ordered the same thing(s) twice.
Just my two cents. :)
