Mark Paragua in his early 20's will soon be the first super GM in Asia.

Hi Penn, I'm not sure about that. Vishy Anand has been a super GM for a long time now, and he's from India. In addition, I've seen some Asian GMs with 2600+ ELO as early as 5 years ago, notably from India, China and probably Vietnam.

Mark will probably be the first from the Philippines though! :-)

Perhaps, we could find before 'Sultan Khan' but GM doesn't exists yet in this era.

I have seen some AMAMZING attacking games by Sultak Khan, very entertaining games

Thats correct..Sultan Kahn is consired and written in histoty books as the first great asian master.(as GM now days)
Some called him the amazing link...
