I'm a new member and think that the site is very good especially for the chess board and the style of the pages. But there is a big problem: the site is very slow. This is a problem of this days or it's always slow?

Can you tell me how slow it is for you? How long does it take for a page to load on average? 1 second? 10 seconds? 1 minute?
From here I usually see pages load in under a second, except maybe when the server is doing a background backup, at those times it may get a bit slow.

For to load a page I wait:
sometimes (15%) 1 second
often (35%) 30 seconds
very often (50%) 1-2 minutes!!
May to be the problem the traslation of pages to italian?

I don't know, I just switched to Italian and requested a few pages and I don't see any difference, I'm getting pages served in one or two seconds.
What time do you usually come to the site? Please also post the time zone you have there. Thanks.

I use the site after 20:00 (19:00 GMT) and for 15 minutes at 8:00 (7:00 GMT).

Right now, 6:30 EST, it is taking anywhere from about 7 to 10 seconds to load each page for me - a little longer for some pages like My Games.
