That thing beco mentioned in the begining of the post... it usually happens more when I'm feeling sleepy and thoughts begin to get more and more disconnected. There was this GM Tkachiev, who said something very similar in an interview once, talking about the influences of chess. He said he'd look at facts and associate them in some ways to chess. I believe this has to do with the way the brain works, it must happen a lot. If you associate, for instance, a fianchetto position with some kind of thought or emotion you might remember the position when you experience that thought or emotion. It's pretty bizarre once you begin to think about it...

Hi all,
That's a subject very difficult to discuss! There is different point of view from an amateur player and a professional player. I learned to move the pieces when I was 18. I'm 49 and I don´t know how to put them on the right squares, but I'm sure that chess help me to live my life better!
