Let's just play chess and get along ok all...

Well I used to play on Chess.ac and there Number one is Eric Schiller, and I reasoned that because he's not using an engine that that's a pretty honest sight, I'm an expert strength on here yet only 1700 on chess.ac, and have ran across people here that play lighting fast and strong in positions that should take a few day's for a human to analyse, sure I get suspicious of some opponents but in case I'm wrong about my opponent's I fail to report them, I won't mention names but I had some opposition here that seem's a little too good to be human. Though there are alot of honest players on here and they seem to be decreasing in supply, I'm losing interest in chess due to computers, I'm just going to finish the rest of my games on here and become inactive.

sorry to hear that you've run into so many cheaters. Maybe I've been lucky but don't think I've encountered anyone who I thought was using an engine in my games.
Maybe you should use the buddy list to keep track of the reliable opponents. Also you could look at some of a players games before playing them to see if their chess results are 'kosher'!
Seems a shame to give up on QA; you can always give me a game if you like

i'm curious who philidor would think was using a computer, considering he's an admitted 1700 player and has a record of something like 31-8-6?
