Topic: player taking too long to move in tournament

Hi there! There is no such thing as "player taking too long". The player will "allways" need to play during his allowed time per move, including vacations, or he risk to lose by time.

If you think this time is too long, you should consider subscribe to faster time control tournments.

;-)

Cheers,
Beco.

Why play in a group with a timelimit of 7 days, if you don.t can respect players as use all the days for every single move. Maybe he play a lot of games or have other social things to do. If you like to play blitz you maybe shall visit another sites.

Totally agreed. I chose this site because I have a lot of time to answer my games here. It is the best for my style of life and I can continue playing chess.

EDIT: comment added.

You have agreed to play a game where your opponent can think for up to seven days on each move. You cannot reasonably complain when he does that.

i agree that he can wait until the last minute to make his move, but i think that players who do that just to bother their opponents should be banned.
i think it would be a good idea to organize auto_tournaments with different timelimit, for those of us who can play more offen and want to finish a tournament in less than a year xP.
