One way that will probably make ratings more similar to OTB would be to change the points assigned in an unrated match. Right now the winner gets 1700 and the loser 1300. If I change that to 1500 and 1100 and recompute from the start then ratings will tend to decrease by that amount.

Además todo depende desde que cifra empiezas a contar. Por ejemplo, en Cataluña empiezas desde 1700. En Aragón, una comunidad vecina, desde 1600, en otras 1500.

Also everything depends since it calculates you begin to count. For example, in Catalonia you begin from 1700. In Aragon, a neighboring community, from 1600, in other 1500.

My guess is that after many many games they should become similiar. It will also get more accurate as more and more people get on this site.

in my opinion, whether you deduct or add 200 points thru recalculating ratings from the beginning, it would not yield an accurate and desirable figures.

a particular site is a distinct club by itself and its established rating system should not be compared with FIDE, natonal federation or any other sites. they all differ from all respects such as total members' population, members' overall relative strength, to name a few.

try to become a member in all popular sites. after completing hundred games, you compare your resultant ratings. you would notice there are significant discrepancies in each rating.
