I played an individual handle screambaby, who was unrated!.. game lasted 8 moves at most, his time ran out, yet he was awarded a rating 1993!?. why only 8 moves and just stop playing awards you???. This seems unfair at most. I know current players on this site struggle to get close to this score. UNFAIR..........

That's why you shouldn't play unrated individuals until they establish a rating!

How can this happen?, so easy at no risk to unrated players, makes those who establish a high rating to just refuse to play

8 moves and time out, and awarded close to high expert, hey that's easy to do should have thought of that!... must make those under that rating upset for sure.

heck that's close to my rating and it was hard on me, should have done that myself, however chess is for thinking, not for rating!.

I'm going to say it again, the ratings are *not* arbitrary, the USCF and many other organizations use them. Please spend a little time in the About page and read how they work.
