But dancing aside; why have we been so slow in the last few hours?

2 hours ago, I could not even open queenalice.com. After continuously trying for another 15 minutes, I managed to open QA but could not log on. Is it a problem with my computer or...?

It seems to have cleared up now. My guess it was a problem with the database of games/positions because I was able to play in two of my games this morning, but each time I had to wait about 15 minutes for a page to load when I made a move.

It's been intermittent for me again over the past few days. Pages can take several minutes to load, just like before.
Is it time to "optimize the database" again, Miguel?
