Optimized the database. There was a minority who abused some functions of the server, so if you were to access the site at the same time they were doing this thing you would get poor performance.

Well, I don't fully understand what that means but thanks for recognizing there was a problem and solving it.

Sorry, let me try to explain it better. Someone was hitting F5 like crazy, putting an extreme load on the database, to a point where everything was running slow.

Crikey! I had no idea that was possible. This person must have been on here doing that almost all day and every day for the past couple of weeks.

I think it is still the same. Sometimes it is slow, sometimes it is fast.
