It is a good thing I dont live in your town. I probably would become a drunkard from all those free drinks would get. Did those taverns have a chess teams? Did they ever play each other? Who was board 1?
In the us college football is big. One team from south caralina is called the Game Cocks. I cant think of any college teams name the bulls. We have professional basketball team in Chicago named the Bulls. If those two teams played that would be quite a story. South Carolina probably has played the long horns from Texas. Obviously Long horns imply male cattle. But Texan's have lots of pride. Saying that their football team is named after bulls might not be a good idea. The football team for Oregon State Univ. is called the Beavers. I suppose we must take great care not to offend the family friendly nature of this site if we start making jokes about a football game between South Carolina and Oregon State.
