It is fun to see how many flags we know. Some flags raise questions.
Is there any reason why the flags of Chile and Texas are similiar? New Zealand and Austrailia?
How mnay flags have the union jack?
GBR, AUS, HW, NZ,.ai.bm,.cc,.ck,.fj,.fk,.io,ky,.pn,.vg

The 'Union Jack' is not a flag as such. The 'Union Flag' is the flag of the United Kingdom. The jack is another word for a flag pole.

Most flags only have 3 colors. Most flags use white blue and red. With only 6 colors you can make most of the flags (blue, white, red, yellow, green and black)
Just boring ...

Corvidae If one tried to combine the flag of scotland and england into one flag I would expect it might look like the union flag. Why didnt Wales object.
I supposed the star spangled banner flies from the stars spangled jack. Or would that require white stars painted on a blue flag pole?

The Union flag is made up of the three colours of the three 'kingdoms',i.e. England, Scotland and Ireland (now N.I.). At the time of the Union's origins Wales was, and still is, a Principality, (Prince Charles is the boss) and therefore didn't merit inclusion. You can see from the flag next to my name what I think of all that.
