unfortunately even if you put players on ignore it doesn't stop the player from sending you remarks during a game. (maybe an miguel can include this feature later on???).
anyway, the player is gone for good. thanks to our admin for ensuring this site has the best and respectful players in the net.

Hello Everyone,
Regarding to the topic- If you are piece down+ and do not have attacking potential you should resign. Hoping for blunder in my opinion is great disrespectfully to your opponent...
Sorry for poor English, Anatoly

Now this is an interesting point and needs clarification. I have never encountered such line of thinking in chess. The losing player of course made wrong decisions earlier and could have committed a blunder themself? Probably, the losing person is not exactly waiting for a blunder but an opportunity for stalemate or perpetual check. I understand that if it is a hopeless case and you still continue playing is a different scenario but when is that applicable. I think that decision should come from the player because we cannot assume our opponents to think the way we do but rather understand that they have a different perspective on how they might probably be looking at the game.
Weak players hope for a strong player to commit a blunder even before anyone is in a winning position because I guess weaker players can't win against strong players generally, right?

I think the point is certificated by this.

then how can you *ethically* say or ask your opponent to resign because you think it is a lost position?
is it ok to point out the great disadvantage or can you tell him the next moves that would lead to mate?
Or you just keep your silence?
