Hmmm...sounds like *I* should take offence at alib2004's comments about his being a weak player, since I'm 0-8 against him! I hate to think what that makes me...

Those of you who are very good should keep in mind that many of us are accustomed to continuing a losing game for 2 reasons. First, we can try for a stalemate, of course, which certainly beats a loss. Second, we make so many mistakes, and our usual opponents make so many mistakes, that we can always hope that they will manage, by one or more of those mistakes, to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory. You might say that winning that way is not really chess. I might answer that that is how we frequently lose; why should we not occassionally win the same way?

wow... this player that i am just highlighting is really annoying. i know this site has been the best because of its very well mannered players and respectful players except for this player. (and the best admin) :-D

Can you believe he just said the comment below even if i already told him to say stop telling me to resign and what does he mean run to mummy? the dead hahaha?

"You gona go run to mummy if i ask u the game is over again??"

tewald, that was a long time ago and you were still learning then but i doubt i can duplicate that feat again.

Yes Tewald, not only stalemate, but perpetual checks. If you´re losing, keep the Queen as long as you can, and in the center. It makes it very hard to win with the Queen on board, even with 2 pawns up.

Yes,alib2004, I have visited some other chess sites, and some forums are just a sad piece of intolerance, hate and racism. Of course they often advocate free speech, so they can use the site to promote hate speech, racist speech, neo-nazi crap, or just to bully people like you, who supposedly come to this site only to PLAY CHESS and MAKE FRIENDS with people from all over the world...
