How about the one Joel Benjamin told about Yasser Seirewan?
Once when Yasser was quite young, he was so promotion-happy that he ignored being checkmated, and went on to promote his pawn.
When asked many years later, whether as a result he won that game, he replied:
"No ...my opponent checkmated my new King too, and that was the end of that!"
A good trick to remember, if ever you're playing for money.
