(please somebody tranlate)

translation of Lukius comments:
Here in Brasil, already showed-up statements of the CBX (Brazilian Confederation of Chess), that this Mr. Eduardo Arruda (eagacunha) has "bought" rating to reach the Master norm.(unlucky, there are players with high ratings who "sell" games to those who want to climb.) I think this is a patological case. |

Well, I must say that this Mr. EduardoJr. does not convince me with his comments, and doesn`t get a lot of my credit, after watching his only game finished. Did anybody had a look at this beauty?

Oh, hi Gil, At least we subscribed it not exactly with the same words.

Yes ... ha, ha ... underpromotion to a rook in ten moves!
I think this outbreak of cheating is probably a combination of four things; juvenile/silly behaviour by people who don't care about the site (they rig their own games), people who have an axe to grind against Miguel, Brazilian chess politics and hacking (they rig other people's games).
With reference to the Bergman game mentioned earlier; I think the explanation is in the opening. My impression of our former number one is that he is much solid/positional than Gambitshark. So when he took up the Polugaevsky/Najdorf Sicilian, he was probably asking for trouble. I don't think he was throwing the game.
