My father and my neighbour taught me and my best friend to play. We were about 8 years old, and we began playing against each other on daily basis. Near the end of elementary school, a new friend of ours explained to us the basics of chess theory, so after a while I have become to strong for my best friend, so we didn't play as much.. (he only plays when he knows he's going to win )
During college, I didn't play chess at all, until recently when I got a job and a cable connection of my own Now I'm playing against that same guy who taught us the basics (he's registered here as zoki74).
I remember that my parents even tried to deny me my right to play chess, but then I'd wait for everyone to go to bed and play under the blanket with a fluorescent piece of paper Good ol' times.
